Hi to all of you at Wits Inn,
This is just a letter to thank you for developing a program that has done nothing short of saving my life. When I came to California it was my last chance to beat this thing. Countless amounts of treatment previously had failed. I was so close to giving up. From the moment I was picked up from the airport I was treated like a person, NOT a patient. My life didn’t stop or go on pause upon coming into the house. It only just began to grow.

Having the opportunity to move forward with my life is something I never experienced in a program before this. Most places lock you away from society and then just release you into the world, expecting one to be strong enough without even practicing the new found tools of recovery. Here I have learned to apply these tools while I am advancing in life, getting a job, going to meetings and making new clean & sober friends. I have had the ability to face and cope with situations that used to take me backwards. Now I have support of my dear sponsor and my 12-step support groups.
Thank you so much, Cynthia

The intervention was a profound event in my life. As a father I thought his mother babied him, and he just needed harder consequences. The education the interventionist taught us together with hearing the truth of what he had been going through brought me to an understanding that forgiveness is possible.
Thank you I have given up that dead end feeling about my son.

When we called for intervention, I told the counselor that I figured we had basically all most no chance of getting her to go to treatment. I said you better send your toughest people or she would fight and run. The counselor told me, we have special methods and to count on her going into treatment with us tomorrow. It went so much better than I thought it would, she is in treatment and has thanked us for saving her life."

Just writing to let you know I celebrated my 17th year of being clean & sober this week. The Wits Inn was where my recovery began. I felt comfortable enough with my support of the Wits Inn staff & clients, to find my way into the middle of the 12-step programs. My intention is to stay with AA & NA as my support group one day at a time for the rest of my life. Now I am living my dreams. I got married in recovery and even have a 5 year old daughter who has never seen me loaded. Randy
